Did anyone see the 'Employable Me' program on BBC2 on Monday evening?

One of the 2 main jobseekers featured was Andy Ibbott - who longer term members will remember gave a great Group Night talk about the California Superbike School, accompanied by Leon Camier.

I had heard that Andy had suffered a stroke some time ago but had not been aware of how seriously it had affected him.

The program was very thought provoking and explained how at one point it appeared that Andy would not survive, then he had to battle to walk and talk again (due to aphasia) and finally to find someone who would offer him a job.

Definitely worth checking out on BBC IPlayer - Andy's determination to succeed shines through but not easy viewing.

Regards,

John

I missed it John so watched it last night on bbc iplayer. Thanks for posting.

I do remember that group night when Andy came along to give a presentation, I spoke to Leon Camier
who was just a young lad then and had his leg in one of those cages after a bad break.

I never knew that Andy had suffered a stroke and had his life turn upside down.

The one question that went through my mind was, has the Motorcycle Industry just forgotten about Andy? As he is a very well known face in Motorcycle circles I would have thought he could have got a job without too much bother within the Industry. The program never mentioned this, but this is television and they dont show the whole story.

We are all one breath away from ending up like Andy, very thought provoking indeed.
