August's Group Night meeting will feature a quiz presented by Group member Eddie Friggens which promises to be very entertaining.

We will be in our usual venue - the Essex Barn @ Channels Golf Club, Pratts Farm Lane East, Little Waltham, Chelmsford, Essex, CM3 3PT.

Potential new members are very welcome to attend as guests, so if you are considering taking some post-test training or have already passed an advanced test and would like to find out more about EAMG and our extensive range of training options & social activities then why not come along as a guest to check us out?

We do not have a big waiting list for new members waiting to be allocated for training and are able to offer both 1-to-1 and group training options for Associate and Full members.

Phil Jones will be covering the New Members table, which has been very active over recent months.

Mick Hewitt will be running the raffle this month and thanks to Suzy you will have the opportunity to win an item of regalia featuring the new Group logo!

Parcel Force permitting paper versions of August's TUG newsletter should be available. Chris Johnson is now very short of articles for future issues of TUG so please remember to send him an article, pictures, jokes, etc., etc.

There will be the usual excellent selection of food and drinks available.

Many thanks to Eddie for a most enjoyable quiz with lots more audiovisual presentation than in the tired old quizzes the Group has had to tolerate previously [1]. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and had very skilfully plonked myself down at the table which subsequently won. Only two downsides to the evening

1) Jill caught me converting raffle ticket 569 to 589
2) The real owner of 589 eventually turned up

Pictures have been posted

[1] The music reproduction from computer was less than hifi. Stoneage CD playback works a lot better.
