Stuart - Thanks for taking and posting all the photos. A great record as none of us will be about for the next one! Even though Dave Iszard thinks he will be. Thanks to the rest for turning out and making it a good
day......................Richard P.

Richard N - hope you get the bike sorted soon - at the risk of rubbing it in, you missed a great day.

No joy on that front yet.

The speed sensor sits behind the rear wheel.

I took the wheel off and poked at the sensor, disconnecting and putting it back to see if the fault would right itself.

I can't tell if it's the sensor itself that is malfunctioning, or a connector, or indeed the wire(s)) to it, or all three! No doubt two seconds on BuMW's diagnostic gizmo will tell all.

Still, I washed the bike and made a simple device to miss out the fuel pump controller, so the day was not a complete was out.

I just got home- had to go to work after the museum; really could have done with an extra hour there.

Lucky with the weather again! And as Smurf says- top banana Richard for the distinct lack of restricted roads.

Highlights for me (apart from the journey, obviously  ):
1. girls' motocross trial team demo which was far more like a bunch of teenagers having a right laugh & seeing what they could safely pull off.
2. that unbelievably horny old race bike being revved up. 8)

From my phone, so not the best quality, but some photos:

When we arrived (the incredibly horny sounding old race bike is being wheeled past the bogs in the background):

Just arrived, haven't scattered yet:

Checking out a pimped Hardly (Boudicca's Ride, allegedly):

You could have a wander round Concorde, if you wanted, and you paid yet more loot:

The "Girls' Trial Team" (them using a car as a prop to ride up & over got me all nostalgic about when we used to live in Brixton

Couple of Old Dudes, on seriously Old Bikes, waiting to ride them round & show them off (these guys are serious about bike preparation- ultimate respect!

Did you find out which country the Indian came from, BTW?

That Boudicca's Ride looked so much like a Hardly, I just assumed- maybe the Indian is an American make then?
