In May/June of this year I intend leading a two week tour to the Balkans Region, Bosnia and all that. :?

Presently there are four of us in the group and if any experienced tourers wish to join us, you'll be welcome along, limited numbers. (No, no camping involved, not intentionally anyway)

The dates are May 25th to June 10th inclusive.

Hi Geoff

That looks like a great trip. Unfortunately I think I will be away around then, otherwise I would be a dead cert for coming along.

====

Could you PM me your home address, please. I have collected up some stuff on Morocco for you, so could bung it in the post.

Cheers, Richard

Sorry you can't make it Richard. :(

The info regards Morocco is no longer required as this tour has replaced it. I made the decision after reading some comments about Blacktops turning to dirt with no warning, I figured road bikes, mountains and dirt roads was not a desirable combination. Maybe I'll get me one of those goddam GS things and give it a go!

I wouldn't worry too much about the roads.

I've been twice and seen anything from R1's, to Harleys, to push bikes. The roads are worse in Essex.

If that's the case Richard I may revert to the original plan, "Off on the road to Morocco"
Thanks 8)
Geoff.

oh my god. i thought the first 2 days was a lot of riding. but 800 miles in a day :!: :!: :!: how :?: :?: :?:
speed limits. fuel stops. food and wee wee pit stops. my guess is it took about 14 hours of hard riding if you ride like the devil

You should see the daily mileages we did for the 'Turkey trot'. Istanbul and back in a week

The icing on the gateaux was Budapest to London in a day..... North of a thousand miles.....

The bike does all the work, really. Get an early start to get 200 miles or so under your wheels before breakfast. Breakfast to lunch another two hundred. Lunch to mid-afternoon, another 200. Mid-afternoon to early evening a hundred. There you go, 700 miles all wrapped up. Don't stop unless you have to.....

The daily mileages in Morocco were easy enough, not much further than you would go on a good day out in Europe.

To do that amount of miles the Turkish pipe must have been on tap

Most I've done is 1000kms in a day took me a week to get over it

Far out Man

Great Picks !!!
