OK. I now have the Kop Hill tickets for all those who've pre booked.

We meet at Birchgreen Service station, ready to depart at 8.00am, Sunday 23rd Sept.

I'll work out a route, but being less experienced that you guys it might not be the most interesting, also I don't have sat nav, so I'll need to refer to the map. If any one wants to take this responsibilty from me, please let me know, I'm more than happy.

Tickets are also available on the day, so if anyone else fancies a trip out, just meet us at the services and buy your own ticket when you get there.

Ask the rain gods for a good day out, see you Sunday :D

Bloody sat navs - ever heard of a map????

I've never been there either but go to the M11 / Junction A120 and follow the road signs for services - it can't be THAT hard.

I actually went to Kop Hill a few weeks ago and rode up & down it a couple of times so if your sat navs pack up I'll get you there if needed.

Kind regards

Col

Mrs J and I are going. We will see you there as we are taking the car. She mumbled something about it being too far on a 125. Didn't really understand, when I was a lad.............................................................................

Graham and co,

The route planned is fifty seven miles long and estimated running time is one and a half hours from Birchanger, or whatever name it is being given, to Kop Hill. :?

I would have attached the route but unfortunately, as far as I know, that facility is no longer available. Still, it makes it more interesting and also, you won't know if I go wrong.

I started my observer test there. When I was a lad it was called Start hill. In the winter you could earn 50p pushing the cars up the slip roads and buy chips on the way home..............................................of course I can also remember when it was all fields.
