The full member social ride this month will be to Uppingham, Rutland.

Yes it's the long one - about 250 miles - a stop on the outward leg, fuel at destination, and a stop on the return.

Please meet to leave Sainsburys Springfield Chelmsford at 9.30 am sharp.

Ride to finish at Mc Donalds Borham Services..................Richard P

Thanks Peter - although the weather forecast kept the numbers down a bit it was a good ride and a sensible decision to do a shorter run. The rain started while we were lunching in Diss so it wasn't so bad to just ride home in the wet. Maybe we can do Uppingham next month................Richard P.

I enjoyed the ride. tried the theory that if you go faster in the rain you don't get as wet. I was soaked through. not sure if i need to go even faster or sliw down??? Anyway, thanks Richard-good ride. sorry i din'say bye to those that split at 1st tea break. didn't realise you three were leaving at that point. roll on slow riding day. maybe i will test the theory that to stay dryer you need to slow down-hope it rains on sunday !!!
