For the people who are not away this year on a big holiday. I am doing and planning a coast to coast ride. We are riding from here to Whitby via scenic route. Meet up at set time in town for dinner and a drink. b&b or camping that bit is up to you. Then on sat we leave after breaky and ride to St Bees. Going through heartbeat country taking in the scenery a coffee stop and lunch on route. We will use the boat trip for added adventure. I think it is £1.50 just for fun. Then a lovely ride over hard knotts pass. Camping or b&b at St Bees. Then its dinner, drink. prizes ? Home sunday.

This ride is for anybody who enjoys riding. No matter what your pace or ability is. I will post more info wen the time gets nearer

disclaimer ?

I may well be up for this. Sounds like fun - and not a marathon either.

This is the site we will be staying at on august 2nd. Normally its £12 a tent thats up to 4 people. I said most of us wud be in a 1 man tent. Lady said she will work out a very good price for us. If you ring mention the name Spider and you get a discount. If there is enough of us it goes down to about £3 per person even in your own tent. Very nice lady called Zoey and she is 52 on the day we turn up. So i will get a card and a gift for you all to sign. As its a nice touch her doing a deal.

Hi all. I rung and booked

Seacote Caravan Park, The Beach, St Bees, Cumbria, CA27 0ET, Tel: 01946 822 777 for the 3rd of august

It costs £10 for the night the lady said it fills up fast and not a lot of camping places left. So if your thinking about this. Maybe you might want to pay the tenner now. Then if you cant make it. its not really a big loss. Or you can pass it on. Its up to you. :)

Hi Spider.
All booked.

Nice lady Zoey didn't even want a deposit.
Zoey said "FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST is available e at £4.50 each" Thats right £4.50. Zoey dosen't mind getting up early if we needed to make an early start. How good is that!!

Campsite looks great. Complete with ice cream parlor, tea room, and the Wilson Arms pub is 100m away. This trip keeps getting better an better. :D

Added some Peli cases to the Kawasaki. Peli make weather proof cases. Managed to make some brackets to attach the Peli 1430 top loader case. Can lock to the bike, with easy removal. Not the biggest panniers at 18 liters each, but the size suits the bike. See Photo.
