When- Sunday 1st September

Where- Thurrock Services Car Park. (Not the Coach Park as in previous years) 09.00 for an 09.30 departure.

Itinerary- Thurrock to Rye where we take refreshments and on to Beachy Head where an ice cream or two may be sampled. From Beachy Head we wend our merry way Northward for home.

Who can partake? Any paid up Associate or Full Member.

Would you believe one of our Members once jumped off the 300 foot cliff at Beachy Head, I kid you not. Oh! yes he did have a canopy.

If you plan to join the ride please read the disclaimer top of page.

Help others. If you can't help them, don't do them any harm. The Dalai Lama. :)

I'll be there.

In fact, I was there (Beachy Head) a few weeks ago and can recomend the Crispy Belly of Pork in The Beachy Head pub - only for those that don't take a packed lunch of course. Check out the menu http://www.vintageinn.co.uk/thebeachyheadeastbourne/restaurantsfood/.

After lunch, any chance of a walk down Eastbourne Pier followed by a shell fish tea in Hastings before the ride home. I know I'm pushing it but the season is coming to an end and while we are on the South cost, lets make the most of it. ?????? :?

No problem Sting, if you can convince those attending to leave at 06.00hrs. I fancy there's more chance of Hell freezing over!!!

I checked out the 15 day forecast for Hell. No chance of a freeze.

Geoff - A potential new member has emailed asking if he can join the ride. He has passed IAM.

He's looking at this forum but I believe has problems posting. If you see this could you answer on here or email me and I'll pass it on.

Cheers

Thanks Geoff, most enjoyable but hard work (i must be getting old) Good company all round and thanks to Pete for doing the whole trip tail ending.

Pleased to see Chris Johnson out with us , I'm sure he looks younger.

I'll second that.... Thanks to Geoff and tail end Charlie (aka Peter) for a very enjoyable ride. I left at Beachy Head to visit Mummy in Bexhill on Sea but the A21 home was boring compared to the journey out. Thanks to all the regulars for making the newbie's feel welcome.
