I hope to be there. Just be aware that you cannot park on the roundabout with the water troughs as they will now give you a parking ticket as it has yellow lines around it!
Gotta hate parking attendants!!

rain rain I cant complain. I will be dead a long time. so I will be there while alive. also when I am old people can say you liked riding in the rain. truth is I do. its great to hear it making noises on my helmet. just wish I was faster in the wet stuff.

Sigh! I tried, but it was not to be. They stopped traffic on the the Dartford tunnel approach whilst they repaired some potholes that had developed. The traffic was moving again at 09:15, but by then there was no way I could make it to Chelmsford by 09:30. I did get very satisfactorily wet, however. I considered going independently to St Ives, but decided Sod's Law would kick in if I got too enterprising

Regards
Chris J.

Good call Chris- approx 10 wet weather riding fans turned up but the rising levels, tedious frequency and muddy consistency of the flooding meant that we got 50 miles to the coffee stop & then unanimously upgraded the coffee stop to leisurely lunch, before turning tail for home.

Thanks everyone for another good day out. It's a rare pleasure to bring my bike home considerably cleaner than it went out. :)

Thankyou Richard for a shorter ride than planned however it was somewhat wet
and most of the roads were underwater but the group sailed on regardless

Thanks for another good ride Richard, also thanks to Dave for tail ending. Was good to be out with a Happy Bunch

I think the water must have been around 2 foot deep on the Finch to Dunmow road which was approximately 10 inches deeper than on the way out!

Spider, did you get home ok?

lol. I am well relaxed in the rain. it makes interesting noises in my head with the pitter patter. then I was thinking how crap I was on tight corners. the bike was hard to steer. never thought puncture till we arrived or should say left the café. now I know I can go faster although I was keeping up. the fast fat bloke would have spotted puncture as he has a 2nd sense an was born on a bike. I had to come home in the van then he fixed it. wot a crazy man. I loved the long straight where I gave it some beans after a bend and the river appeared. wow like the laughing and noise in my helmet was full on adrenalin screaming with excitement. will I stay on lol. great ride spoilt by the van job. cheers rich pee well enjoyed it son.
