New for 2015. The Full Member Social Ride this month will be a long one to Melton Mowbray Leicestershire an overall distance of 250 miles with a T stop on each leg at St Neots and fuel somewhere. There will be a bit of main road work in places as its too far for me to try diversionary routes but overall it looks good.

Please meet to leave Sainsburys Springfield Chelmsford at 9.30am sharp.

This is a run for a dry day so if the weather turns I will have an alternative.

Enjoy....................Richard P.

Thanks to Richard for a very enjoyable ride to St. Ives. The worst of the rain was over by the time we started out, and at St Ives itself there was even a very brief period of weak sun. Roads were substantially dry for the majority of the trip. Thirteen bikes. Spider and Fred as back markers. Red Lodge and Local Cafe as watering holes. Group got divided briefly on way back at a roundabout near the A10 but Fred seems to have herded back the errant sheep pretty quickly. I left the ride at Dunmow to get a shorter trip home, by which point we had done nearly 170 miles. A very enjoyable day, even if I was a little disappointed that it wasn't to Melton Mowbray. Pictures have been posted.

Regards
Chris J.

Well that certainly blew my cobwebs away.....

Thank you Richard, Spider and Fred for leading and tail-ending and to everyone who attended for your company and for your safe and courteous riding. A good day was had by all.

Sorry you would have preferred Melton Mowbray Chris but that's better kept for a nice day. I have another new for 2015 in Norfolk so we can do to two in June and July most seemed to like the new roads to St Ives. I'm away for the May date so will be asking for a volunteer to lead the ride which is on Sunday 31st May....................................Richard P.
