Looking forward to an early new year ride. About time I bought you a tea as well, so as long as it's not pi$$ing it down I'll be there.

Ok, the roads were a bit damp on the way out, but otherwise it was ideal weather for a winter run; mild, occasional sun but generally lightly overcast. We had 22 bikes following the late addition of Madame Chairman and the very late addition of Phil. Route out was pretty standard with a tea break at Red Lodge. Upon arrival at St Ives we discovered a little blue car had had the temerity to park in our space round the monument. A personal tragedy was that the 'bowel prep' rules for an intervention in a couple of days meant I could not have the Local Café's excellent liver & onions, a great favourite of mine. Drier roads on the way back meant that the pace could be enjoyably brisk at times. Nobody got lost. Mick and Neil (spelling?) acted as sweepers, with a brand new KTM jacket and a very silver Pan making them easy to spot. I left the run at Dunmow after dead on 160 miles. Many thanks to Richard. Pictures have been posted.

Regards
Chris J.

An excellent day in the saddle in the company of a group of very skilful riders. It's a real pleasure to ride when the standard of those around you is so high. A credit to the Advanced Group. Also, thanks to Richard who must put a good deal of effort into organising these monthly rideouts. Look forward to the next one :D

Again, another superb route provided and led by Richard and a great lunchtime venue.
Thanks to all concerned. Thoroughly enjoyed and can't wait for the next one.
