Re: Mid Week Ride to T 2 Detectives Burwell Postponed now 26/5 Tue
Having seen the latest weather forecast for the 19th I'm rather glad it has been postponed.

Re: Tony April leisurely Ride
Thanks Tony for an enjoyable day out on Wednesday. Perhaps a little too much gravel but we did all get safely to the Suffolk coast and back. Bearing in mind the age of some of the riders it would have been nice to have had a formal break on the way home. I've identified the Barn Cafe in Assington as...

Re: Mid Week Ride 17th March to the Mixing Shed
Sorry I won't be able to join you all on Tuesday. A winter cold that I caught two weeks ago has not yet abated and is now presenting itself a a cough that can continue for many minutes. This is not something I want to happen inside a crash helmet possibly in heavy traffic. Very annoying particularly...

Re: Mid week ride 19 August 2025
Just for the record, I arrived home in Broomfield at 1534 having left Waresley about 20 to 30 minutes after Tony's group. A more or less uneventful ride apart from a short hold up in Royston due to a collision. Cars were having problems but I and another bike managed to get round the damaged vehicle...

Re: Mid-Week Ride Tuesday 15th April - La Hogue Garden Centre
I've been looking at the published route in a bit more detail and note that it takes us through Langleys Deer Park in Great Waltham. It looks like the electronic map has got it wrong again as this is public footpath on a gated metalled road that I do not believe is a public road for motor traffic.

Looking at the published map there appears to be a small detour into Balsham. Does this indicate a stop at The Old Butcher's Shop?

Re: Associate/Full Member Social Ride 17th November, 2024
My thanks to Mick and Alan for leading and tailing today's ride (and presumably also determining the route), very enjoyable. It was doubly enjoyable for me because this is the first time since well before Covid that I have been able to get out on a Sunday. I'm sorry I couldn't give my thanks persona...

Re: Associate/Full Member Social Ride 23rd November, 2024
Sorry if I am asking a silly question but is this the "same" ride that Steve advertised as being on the 17th and is it correct that it is on Saturday? It looks like this is the first time in many years that I might be able to join you and I wouldn't wish to loose an opportunity to do so. C...

Re: Mid-Week Ride NOW THURSDAY 11th JULY
I hope you all had a good ride yesterday. Sadly, I was unable to join you. Having organised the domestic arrangements for a ride on the 9th it became impossible to change things so I could come out on the 11th.

Re: EAMG photo archive
Having just posted some pictures in the Runs & Rides sub-forum, some of which were not directly related to the ride in question, prompts me to ask the question has EAMG thought about a reliable and permanent archive for EAMG's material? Mainly this will consist of photographs and back copies of ...
