Sat Nav purchase - advice please…

I’ve decided to take the plunge and purchase a sat nav, UK but would be good to have European option. As someone who has no knowledge of these things what is the favoured make and recommendations please.

I think it comes down to price and personal choice. I use Tomtom and it comes with lifetime map updates which include Europe.

Hi Nick, I would 2nd that. My 1st and only Sat Nav is a TomTom 550.
There is an online TomTom route planner where you can plan save and upload your routes or indeed routes that you download from your pc in GPX format. You can also send routes to others from the route planner.
Might take a while to figure it all out but help is on hand by many group members.
Oh and the updates and importing routes can be done via wi fi.

Hi Nick I use the Garmin XT swapping between bikes which I find great with planning on MyRoute App with easy transfer of files via the Garmin App on the phone or Ipad. Real time traffic messages and alerts from your phone. We can also bluetooth connect between the XT devices to swap routes over on the day of the ride.
