John and Audrey’s Cotswolds Ride – Saturday 10th September 2022

We are really sorry we had to cancel our traditional ride to the Cotswold’s but sincere thanks to those asking if we were ok. We’re both well but attended an important family gathering. We both thought we’d have to give this year’s ride a miss but have been informed that EAMG’s perennial BBQ has been cancelled so we can go after all.

For those new to the Group, these rides are open to Full Members and Associates; John leading Full Members and Audrey leading Full Members, preferring a more leisurely pace and Associates. We’ll not be able to accommodate Non-Members unless they have been approved as a guest.

Due to extensive roadworks on the A120 leaving Birchanger, our briefing will commence at 09:00 hrs at the first BP petrol station on the A10 by Buntingford, approx. 4 miles north of the A10/A120 RAB by Puckeridge.

Many of our members have further to travel to Buntingford and evenings are drawing in, our route therefore, has been shortened to 178mls. Please ensure you’re comfortable with this mileage before joining us.

Each group will ride the same route which includes the ‘Charlbury Loop’. Our coffee stop will be Buckingham Garden Centre and we’ll return there for lunch. We estimate our return to Buntingford will be circa. 16:30-17:00 hrs.

We can’t think of a better way to spend a sunny Saturday but bring the wet suit just in case!

Boy's and Girl's Ride Cancelled

In view of the very sad news of the loss of our Queen Elizabeth; it would be totally inappropriate for us to continue with our Boy's and Girl's ride tomorrow.
