Hello.

Delighted to say that we are bringing back our chairman’s ride, details as follows.

Meet: 9am for 9.30am prompt departure at Sainsbury’s Springfield CM2 5PA. Please be on time for pre departure briefings etc.

Destination: Super Sausage NN12 7QD

Comfort break at Baldock Services SG7 5TR, this is about 50 miles from Chelmsford.

Distance from Chelmsford to Super Sausage is about 86 miles and return the same.

VIP:
Arrive with a full tank of fuel.
Ensure membership is up to date.
Open to all members.
Leave room for a big fry up.

We will split the ride into groups, so different riding preferences can be taken into account.

We will use the well known marker system.

We will need volunteers for some back markers.

We aim to stay at super sausage for an hour or so, those that need to refuel can do so, petrol station just up the road. BUT please ensure you leave time to do this before we set off, we don’t want to leave anyone behind!

Look forward to seeing you all, fingers crossed for a heatwave!

Best

Michel

Wouldn’t it be easier if we went straight past the super sausage cafe to refuel 🏍️ so that forgetful ones like your good self don’t leave it to the last minute.

As it's 40+ miles for us to ride to Chelmsford then 50 miles Chelmsford to Baldock, we'll meet you at Baldock Services.

Any chance we could have a copy of the route to load on the Sat Nav?

See you tomorrow,

John & Audrey

Traditionally the best attended ride of the year.

Forecast is good.
Tyres checked.
Tank full.
Spider’s already suggesting alternatives.
So all’s well. Can’t wait. 🙂

Thanks for today guys, very enjoyable traditional event.
Always a good turnout from EAMG for this event, and it was good to see The Super Sausage was busy and flourishing.

Great to see so many chums out again for the season.

Not a pothole or gravel in sight as long as you keep the vision up and don’t look at the road. Great day out cheers everyone good riding apart from the organ donors from some other group. Spider
